IBM has made its Nighthawk r2 quantum processor broadly available through the cloud. The company said the 120-qubit processor can execute more than 100,000 quantum circuits per second and includes 218 tunable couplers and 120 reset elements. IBM said the processor maintains the scale of its r1 predecessor while improving quality and speed, and claimed it can run quantum computations 25 times faster than IBM Quantum Heron.
