Gmail will retire third-party 'Send as' addresses in January

Google says Gmail will stop supporting its "Send as" feature for third-party email addresses, including Yahoo and Outlook accounts, beginning in January 2027. The change applies to sending through Gmail using non-Gmail addresses. Google says it will not affect Google Workspace aliases or other Gmail addresses a user owns. The support notice directs work and school users seeking aliases to ask administrators to configure domain or email aliases.
