X Android App Rebuild 2026 Creates a Faster Grok Pipeline

X Android App Rebuild 2026 Creates a Faster Grok Pipeline Image: Primary
X rebuilt its Android app after nearly a year of development to improve scrolling, loading, notifications and reliability. X said in its July 20 announcement that the new version improves scrolling, loading, notifications and overall reliability. Head of Product Nikita Bier called it one of the largest engineering projects in the company's history. The rebuild is intended to remove the two-speed release pattern that repeatedly put iOS first. Bier said the rebuild would let X develop features at lightning speed and later added that many releases would reach Android first. The new foundation could shorten the time required to integrate Grok translation, media creation and recommendation features. X plans to release many upcoming features on Android first, reversing its previous iOS-first pattern.
