Mesoblast has completed the patient-treatment stage of its Phase 3 trial of rexlemestrocel-L for chronic low back pain, according to New Atlas. The trial enrolled 350 people, expanded from 300, with half receiving a single intra-discal injection and half a sham control shot. Its primary endpoint is long-term pain reduction after 12 months; the article says results are expected by mid-2027. The experimental therapy is intended to treat pain associated with degenerative disc disease.
