Anthropic said background computer use is now available in Claude Code on macOS for Pro and Max customers. The feature lets the agent perform computer-use work without taking over the user's cursor, according to the announcement reported by 9to5Mac. Claude desktop already supported computer use; this update changes how that work can run while a user continues other tasks on the Mac.
