Google announced today the release of Nano Banana 2 Lite and the availability of Gemini Omni Flash for developers. The company said Nano Banana 2 Lite is its fastest and most cost-efficient image model in the Nano Banana family, built for high throughput, speed and scale. It is available today in Google AI Studio, the Gemini API and the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform. It is also rolling out today in Google consumer surfaces including AI Mode in Search, the Gemini app and many other products. The company said it is bringing Gemini Omni Flash to developers for the first time via Google AI Studio, the Gemini API and the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform. The model is also available in the Gemini app and Google Flow. Google said Nano Banana 2 Lite delivers text-to-image outputs in 4 seconds at a cost of $0.034 per 1K image. The company said it recommends the model as a replacement for developers using the first version of Nano Banana. Gemini Omni Flash supports high-quality video generation and conversational editing from a combination of text, image and video inputs. The model is priced at $0.10 per second of video output. Google said the model currently offers 10-second video generations with longer durations coming soon. The company said developers can chain the models together, using Nano Banana 2 Lite for rapid image generation and passing the image to Gemini Omni Flash to animate it into video.
