Citadel reportedly unwound most acquired AI hedge-fund holdings
Image: Primary Citadel sold more than 80% of the equity portfolio it acquired from the AI-focused hedge fund Situational Awareness within three weeks, according to a Financial Times report cited by SE Daily. The report said Citadel executed about 100 block trades worth $4 billion and cleared most of the risk it assumed after buying the portfolio in late July. Situational Awareness had held concentrated AI-related long positions and software shorts before a technology-stock decline triggered margin pressure and forced sales.
