Minnesota court leaves AI image-alteration law in force during xAI challenge

Minnesota court leaves AI image-alteration law in force during xAI challenge Image: Primary
A federal district court in Minnesota denied xAI's request to suspend Minnesota's anti-nudification law while its constitutional challenge proceeds. The law permits fines of up to $500,000 each time AI is used to alter an image so an identifiable person appears to have intimate parts. xAI argues the law violates First Amendment rights, but the broader lawsuit has not yet gone to trial. The denial leaves the statute operative during that litigation.
