ChatGPT reportedly gains permissioned access to Messages on Mac
Image: Primary OpenAI has introduced a ChatGPT feature that can read, write, send and search Messages conversations on Mac computers, according to a report. The report says the feature operates locally using existing macOS AppleScript and Accessibility capabilities. Users must consent to access, approve several permissions and enable settings including Full Disk Access; ChatGPT also requires contact and automation permissions. OpenAI said the integration does not create an index of all a user's messages.
