Revolut says spoofed government request led to customer-data disclosure

Revolut says spoofed government request led to customer-data disclosure Image: Primary
Revolut disclosed customer information after processing a fraudulent data request sent from a genuine government agency domain, Blockonomi reported. The outlet said exposed materials included personal identifiers, ID documents, verification photos, bank statements, IBANs and Bitcoin transaction records. Revolut said cryptographic private keys, login credentials and complete payment-card numbers were not disclosed. The company did not identify the government agency involved, disclose the affected-account count, or say when it discovered the request was fraudulent.
