Amazon adds Alexa shopping alerts for new releases and events

Amazon adds Alexa shopping alerts for new releases and events Image: Primary
Amazon has launched "Update Me When," an Alexa for Shopping feature that sends personalized notifications when a development could prompt a purchase, TechCrunch reported. Users can configure alerts for events including product-line launches, new television seasons, concert tours, book releases, and technology-product releases. The feature extends Alexa's shopping role beyond answering direct product questions. Amazon already offers price tracking that can notify users at a chosen price or discount and can automatically buy an item when conditions are met.
