XPeng says IRON humanoid robot has entered production phase
Image: Primary XPeng says its first IRON humanoid robot completed an automated assembly sequence and independently left its production facility, marking a move from development toward manufacturing. The company says the plant automates more than 80% of core processes using methods transferred from automotive production. IRON uses a physical-world foundation model and three Turing AI processors, and XPeng plans commercial deployments in China and international markets in the first quarter of 2027, initially for hazardous and repetitive work.
