On Sunday, July 26th, at 10:13, a Romanian Air Force F-16 aircraft shot down a drone that had entered the national airspace without authorization. On Saturday, July 25th, at 08:22, the radar surveillance systems of the Romanian Ministry of National Defence detected another unauthorized penetration of the national airspace by a drone operating in the vicinity of the Ukrainian border. An F-16 fighter aircraft of the Romanian Air Force, assigned to the 86th Air Base, Fetești, while conducting an air policing mission to monitor and track an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that had violated national airspace, engaged the target with an air-to-air missile on Friday, July 24th and neutralized it over an unpopulated area in the vicinity of Padina, Buzău County.
