Thinking Machines Lab is reported to seek more than $1 billion

Thinking Machines Lab, the AI developer led by former OpenAI CTO Mira Murati, is in talks to raise at least $1 billion, according to a Techmeme summary of reporting by The Information. The reported financing would value the company at more than $40 billion pre-money. The summary says that figure is lower than the valuation above $50 billion the company sought last year. The talks do not establish that a round has closed.
