AWS DevOps Agent adds bidirectional Slack communication for incident investigations

AWS DevOps Agent now lets engineers run the full investigation lifecycle inside Slack, the company said. Teams can start an investigation by mentioning the agent in any connected Slack channel, and all activity, including team-contributed context, agent findings and recommended actions, is captured in a single thread. AWS said the change removes the need for on-call engineers and DevOps teams to switch between communication and investigation platforms during high-severity incidents, and preserves a complete audit trail from trigger to mitigation for post-incident retrospectives. The capability is available in all commercial AWS Regions where AWS DevOps Agent is currently supported.
