Greyparrot raises $27M Series B to scale AI waste intelligence
Image: Primary London-based Greyparrot raised $27 million in Series B funding, bringing total funding to $60 million, Tech.eu reported. Technology investor Omar Mir led the round after the company's AI platform surpassed one trillion detected waste objects.
Greyparrot builds AI camera systems that sit above conveyor belts and monitor waste streams in real time so recycling plants can identify materials, products, and brands. Customers named by Tech.eu include waste firms WM, Circular Services, Veolia, Biffa, and FCC, while brands such as Unilever, L'Oréal, and Kenvue use its Deepnest platform for post-disposal packaging insight and Extended Producer Responsibility and EU packaging-rule compliance.
In early 2026, the UK Environment Agency accepted AI-generated waste composition data from Greyparrot for statutory compliance reporting, which Tech.eu described as a first for that use. Co-founder and CEO Mikela Druckman said the capital will help the company scale across North America and Europe and grow AI, data science, and product teams.
Greyparrot said it will use the funding to expand in those regions, grow those teams, and scale technology aimed at helping recover more than one million tonnes of waste by 2030.
