Researchers make Malva single-cell RNA search platform available

Researchers make Malva single-cell RNA search platform available Image: Primary
Researchers at the Max Delbrück Center reported Malva, a platform that makes reprocessed public single-cell data searchable by nucleotide sequence. The team says the system searches across millions of cells in seconds without requiring users to download large files or use a reference genome. Malva also indexes spatial data and includes sequence information from bacteria, viruses, and fungi. The platform is currently freely available to scientists, while its creators are in early stages of forming a commercial startup and have a patent pending.
