Act Security has acquired Cloud Copilot, an open-source project for analyzing AWS access permissions, and is using it as the basis for a new toolkit called Amphi. The company said Amphi offers seven tools to test and analyze AWS policies, including permission expansion, request simulation and checks on whether roles can reach specific resources. It will be free, open source and available without an account through a browser interface or offline-capable command line. Cloud Copilot founder David Kerber has joined Act.
