Wispr raises $280 million Series B at $2 billion valuation

Wispr has raised $280 million in Series B funding led by Menlo Ventures at a $2 billion valuation, the company announced. The AI dictation startup said the round brings its total funding to $361 million and will support expansion into areas including meetings through its recently released note-taking tool. Alongside the financing, Wispr announced Canto, a speech-understanding model it says will reduce dictation error rates from 30% to less than 10%. The company faces competition from other dictation apps and lower-priced tools.
