Anthropic brings India-specific pricing for Claude AI, Pro plan starts at Rs 2,000

Artificial intelligence company Anthropic announced India-specific pricing for its premium Claude AI subscriptions, allowing customers to pay in Indian rupees instead of U.S. dollars. The company said the move eliminates foreign currency billing and brings local pricing across individual and business plans. The entry-level paid plan, Claude Pro, starts at Rs 2,000 per month with annual billing, bringing the yearly cost to Rs 24,000, while monthly billing is priced at Rs 2,399 per month. The Pro plan offers higher usage limits and access to premium features including Projects, Memory, web search, file uploads and voice capabilities. For heavier users, Anthropic introduced two Claude Max options: the Max 5x plan at Rs 11,999 per month and the Max 20x plan at Rs 23,999 per month, which provide larger message limits, longer coding sessions, priority access during heavy demand and early access to new models. For organizations, Team Standard is available at Rs 2,399 per user per month with annual billing or Rs 2,999 with monthly billing. Team Premium costs Rs 11,999 per seat per month annually or Rs 14,999 monthly, and includes centralized administration, unified billing, single sign-on, domain management and administrative controls. A free plan remains available with basic usage limits and features such as web search, file uploads and limited Projects.
