Gemini Spark can now do more things for you and is faster at doing them
Image: Primary Google said Wednesday it is expanding access to its Gemini Spark AI agent to Google AI Ultra subscribers in all regions where Gemini apps are available, excluding the European Economic Area, Nigeria, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. In a post on X, Google Vice President Josh Woodward announced the update, which also adds new Workspace capabilities and performance improvements. Spark can now open and edit documents in Google Docs, read comments in Sheets and Slides, and edit shared and private spreadsheets and presentations. The agent previously supported features such as scheduling meetings and summarizing conversations. Google said Spark is over 50% faster than before and can process data from multiple sources in parallel to solve complex problems more quickly. The company started rolling out Gemini Spark a few months ago to automate tasks and build spreadsheets. Woodward said Google AI Pro subscribers should stay tuned for an access update soon, indicating a potential expansion to that tier.
