The ARM Institute received nearly $90 million for 10 projects intended to modernize operations at 12 U.S. military manufacturing sites. The Office of the Undersecretary of War Manufacturing Technology Office awarded the funding through its Organic Industrial Base Modernization Challenge, according to the institute. Fifteen member organizations are expected to deliver working solutions within two years, including AI for energetics-production safety and quality, drones for mission readiness, and robotics to remove bottlenecks. Each plan includes workforce-readiness work.
