Asahi Linux developers announced official support for Apple Macs using M3-series chips, saying nearly all hardware support now matches the project's older M1 and M2 coverage. The support excludes the Mac Studio with M3 Ultra. Graphics acceleration remains neither performant nor power efficient, while sleep support is unavailable because DCP support is missing; that also leaves HDMI nonfunctional on M3 MacBooks. Work to upstream the broader M3 support into mainline Linux remains ongoing.
