NetBSD issues final 9.x release and ends branch support

The NetBSD Project released NetBSD 9.5, the fifth and final release in its NetBSD 9 stable branch. The project said the release contains a selected set of security and stability fixes made since NetBSD 9.4, released in April 2024, and remains compatible with NetBSD 9.0. It also ended support for all NetBSD-9.x releases and the netbsd-9 branch, urging remaining users to move to a newer release, including NetBSD 11.0 or the forthcoming NetBSD 10.2.
