L&T Semiconductor Technologies will unveil around 40 semiconductor products at the upcoming SEMICON India event, Chief Executive Sandeep Kumar said on the sidelines of a CII conference in New Delhi. Kumar said the company has spent a little over two years developing its portfolio and is now ready to showcase it. The lineup includes a vision product and a security product. Kumar said the power sector has gained significant traction, specifically power semiconductors, silicon carbide and gallium nitride. Kumar said projects approved under the first phase of the India Semiconductor Mission are beginning to take shape. He cited OSAT projects from Micron, Kaynes and CG Power as examples of progress. Regarding the second phase, Kumar said the parameters are broadly the right way to expand beyond current fab and OSAT into logic, though he noted he has some doubts on certain aspects. On L&T's investment plans, Kumar said the company's commitment remains unchanged with no slowdown or change in heart. He said results will come out soon and investment may increase.
