Waymo targets Munich robotaxi service for late 2027
Image: Primary Waymo said it will introduce self-driving taxis in Munich by the end of 2027. The company plans to begin rolling out vehicles in the German city this year for high-definition mapping and testing with safety drivers; those vehicles will initially be manually driven. The announcement sets out Waymo's planned entry into a German city after the mapping and testing phase. Bavaria's state chancellery said the state wants to move from testing to real-world autonomous-driving deployment.
