Core Scientific completes Polaris DS acquisition, adding 440MW at Oklahoma site
Image: DCD Core Scientific has completed its acquisition of Polaris DS, gaining about 440MW of grid-connected power capacity under existing Oklahoma Gas & Electric service agreements and 40 acres in Muskogee, Oklahoma. The deal, valued in cash at $444 million, allows the company to advance an adjacent campus planned for 1.5GW of gross power and 1GW of leasable power through grid connections and behind-the-meter solutions. Polaris had used the acquired power capacity for bitcoin mining.
