Latos submits Manchester plan for edge AI data center
Image: DCD Latos Data Centres has submitted a planning application to Manchester City Council for a two-building edge data-center development on a vacant brownfield site in Newton Heath. The proposed buildings would span 28,000 square feet and are intended for AI workloads. If approved, Latos said it hopes the facility will be operating by 2030 as part of its planned distributed "neural Edge" network.
