The European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking opened six quantum technology calls with a combined €119 million budget. Four €20 million calls cover trapped-ion, superconducting, neutral-atom and testing infrastructure; a €24 million call covers quantum key distribution, and €15 million backs an experimental pilot line. Targets include systems with more than 1,000 physical qubits and a cloud-accessible trapped-ion computer integrated with classical high-performance computing. Applications close November 17, 2026.
