AWS opens Bedrock access to GPT-5.6 models from Australia
Image: Primary AWS says teams using its Sydney and Melbourne regions can now invoke OpenAI GPT-5.6 Sol, Terra and Luna through Amazon Bedrock global cross-Region inference. Applications call a local Bedrock Runtime endpoint while AWS routes processing to a supported commercial region, removing the need for customers to manage destination-region routing. The models accept text and image inputs, generate text, and support context windows up to 1 million tokens. Bedrock supports Responses, Chat Completions and Converse APIs for the models.
