Diraq and Equinix plan Sydney data-center quantum system
Image: DCD Diraq and Equinix plan to install a Diraq quantum computer at an Equinix Sydney data center in October 2026. The proposed system would use an eight-qubit silicon chip with self-contained cryogenic cooling and control electronics. The companies say it would be Australia's first quantum computer operating in a commercial data center and the first silicon spin system in a shared commercial facility. They say it will draw less than 20 kW and require minimal integration.
